These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Orstrum cloud service, including the website at orstrum.com, the CLI tool, and the hosted MCP endpoint (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Orstrum, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at tyler@aforah.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You agree not to:
Ownership. You retain ownership of your source code and all intellectual property therein. We store only derived structural data (file paths, import edges, exported symbols, AI-generated summaries) — never your raw source code.
License to us. By pushing graph data to the Service, you grant Orstrum, Inc. a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, and serve that data solely to provide the Service to you.
Responsibility. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any data you push to the Service does not violate applicable laws or the rights of third parties.
AI processing. When you invoke hosted impact analysis, the relevant file paths and purpose summaries from your graph are sent to our LLM provider to produce the result. Your raw source code is never sent, because we never hold it. See the Privacy Policy for the current list of processors.
Subscriptions. The Pro plan is billed in advance per seat on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Prices are listed on our pricing section and may change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers. Adding seats mid-cycle is pro-rated and charged immediately; removing seats takes effect at the next billing cycle.
Credit packs. Hosted analysis (the
orstrum_analyze_impact tool) draws on a monthly allowance included with
your plan. You may also buy one-time credit packs. Purchased credits do not expire; the
included monthly allowance resets each billing month and does not roll over. Credits have no
cash value.

The Free plan covers unlimited local use of the Orstrum CLI — the graph stays on your machine and is served locally. Cloud sync, the hosted MCP endpoint, and team sharing require a paid plan. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any cloud feature offered at no charge with 30 days' notice.
The Service, including its source code, UI, algorithms, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Orstrum, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ORSTRUM, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR DIRECT DAMAGES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from the dashboard under Settings → Billing. To close your account entirely, email tyler@aforah.com and we will delete it within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases and we will delete your data per our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
